As an author, a celebrant and a certified health coach, I believe that the stories we tell ourselves and others have enormous power. I know that telling a better story changes lives as surely as it changes businesses, so I help my clients share their personal and professional stories as effectively as possible.
The goal of communication is more meaningful connection with others. That's true whether we're sharing a brand message with clients, or a personal story with our friends and family. I'm passionate about serving businesses and heart-centered entrepreneurs who have a great story to tell, especially those that are dedicated to bringing more healing and joy to the world.
My training at the Celebrant Foundation and Institute provided me with a clear understanding of the anthropological roots of both storytelling and ceremony, and this understanding was deepened when I studied at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. At IIN I learned from teachers such as Deepak Chopra and Dr. Bernie Siegal that what we think -- in other words, the stories we tell ourselves -- can, and often does, trump what we eat in creating our health.
I'm a former Senior Editor for Grandparents.com, and am happy to still write for the online magazine as an Editor-at-Large. I specialize in articles on health and wellness, but cover other topics as well. You can read many of the articles in the Writing section of this site. In addition, I tell three-dimensional stories as a producer, director and playwright. I am proud to work with the Estrogenius Festival and with Carnival Girls, New York City based theatre companies devoted to creating compelling roles for women on-stage and off.
